The variety of succulents gives this wreath a good mix of color (green, burgundy and silver) and texture. It needs watering about every six to eight weeks making it much lower maintenance than our rosebushes!
You can pick up your own wreath at VivaTerra for $89.
I love this idea! I might have to fashion one myself (though I'm wondering what's providing the soil material for the roots).

This is so uniquely pretty. Someone would help themselves to a five finger discount if I hung this up on my door....

s in dc - hmmm ... maybe if you diy it (as gregory might), you could throw in a cactus here and there to give would-be thieves a nice surprise.

Christmas already?!

I ordered this and was VERY disappointed. the plants were super sparse and nowhere near worth the cost of the wreath. viva la terre was super cool about the return, though. maybe they're making them better now.

I've made a few of these for friends. A good How To with sourcing information and instructional video can be found on the Martha Stewart website.

Thanks for the links, eirikur! I knew Martha would have done something similar already...
