LumiGram's Fiberglass Tablecloth

2007_06_26_LumiGram1.jpg
Try to get past any Louis XIV associations for a minute. Imagine this glowing tablecloth in a more sedate setting than pictured, say at a dock-side dinner party. Imagine how dazzling it would be in contrast to the dark sky and the reflective water.

Lumigram is a dazzling fiberglass-embedded tablecloth from France. We can't imagine anything more eye-popping for an outdoor festa, but we can imagine that you'd want to trot it out for only the most special of occasions, to keep the wow factor high. Either that or you'd want to keep it indoors, accenting and illuminating a wall or stairwell.

Amazingly, the Lumigram can be hand-washed with natural soap, though we'd be careful with it. It uses a mains adapter with a European power plug, so a socket adapter would be required for use here in the USA.

(If you buy this for a party, please invite us! We'd love to see it in action.)

Available in three sizes and three colors here for roughly $1,262.

What's interesting is that in that uber formal setting, they used lucite chairs. :->
